Hamentaschen Bake and Mitzvah Project!
Join PJ Library and Temple Israel for a sweet and meaningful Purim Celebration! We’ll be baking delicious hamentaschen from scratch and packing mishloah manot boxes for families served by Schoke Jewish Family Service of Fairfield County.
Mishloah Manot are gifts of food that are sent to family, friends and others on Purim. The mitzvah of giving mishloach manot is meant to ensure that everyone has enough food for the Purim feast and to increase love and friendship among Jews and their neighbors. This is a wonderful opportunity to show our children the joy and importance of giving back to the community we live in.
When: Sunday, March 1st @ 1:00PM
Where: Temple Israel, 14 Coleytown Road, Westport
How: $15 per child to cover supplies.
Schoke Jewish Family Service of Fairfield County: Sustains families and individuals through all of life’s challenges and builds strong, healthy communities.
